Display Design Hints

There is a lot of competition at a trade show and there are many things for people to see and visit. To have an effective and successful trade show display you have to find ways to stand out from the rest. You have a very small amount of time to catch a trade show visitor’s attention, a matter of around four to five seconds as they pass by. That is why it is so important to have an exhibit that is eye catching and will grab the audience’s attention.

The choice of colors you use is very important. You can pick a color theme that has something to do with your product or your company’s logo. You don’t want to use too many different colors because that will distract from the message you are trying to get across. Red and yellow are bold colors that draws a person in, however you want to use them in moderation so they are not overpowering your message.

Lighting your displays will help draw attention to your products. Flashing and blinking lights also will attract a visitor’s attention. Good lighting can play an essential part of having a high quality effective trade show exhibit. It is not necessary to use huge powerful spotlights that will blind a person. Soft subtle lighting is the best way to go to showcase your products and company.

Sound is another way to attract attention to your exhibit, whether it be background music or something that pertains to your products or company. Video presentations are another good way to get people interested in stopping to see what your product is all about. Another good crowd pleaser is live demonstrations of your product and its purpose.

When you are designing your trade show exhibit keep in mind that you only have a few seconds to reach your target audience. You can use color, graphics and displays to create an exhibit that is an attention grabber and will get your exhibit noticed.
